Job description
The Senior Security Engineer – Cloud Security at talabat in Dubai, UAE, is a hands-on role responsible for implementing, operating, and continuously improving enterprise cloud security controls across AWS and GCP environments. This position ensures adherence to corporate security standards, regulatory requirements (e.g., PCI DSS, NIST, SOC-2), and risk management processes. The engineer enforces security baselines for accounts, projects, networking, IAM, encryption, and logging, supports standardized cloud landing zones and guardrails, and designs scalable IAM models including role-based access, service identities, and federated access. Responsibilities include operating and tuning security platforms such as CSPM, CIEM, and CWPP, automating remediation through infrastructure-as-code, enabling detection and alerting for cloud security events, supporting incident response and root cause analysis, and validating cloud controls during audits and security assessments. The role partners with engineering, platform, SRE, architecture, and GRC teams to ensure secure cloud usage at enterprise scale and contributes to global security practices and reusable Terraform components. The position requires a strong operational mindset, ability to translate security requirements into measurable controls, and effective collaboration across globally distributed teams.
