Job description
Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank's Shari'a Resolutions and Assessment unit exists to keep the Group aligned with every ruling the Higher Shari'a Authority and Internal Shari'a Supervision Committee issue, and this seat sits inside that unit under a team leader who sets the daily priorities. New HSA Resolutions and related ISSC Resolutions land on your desk first, and you record, translate where needed, and file each one into the Governance, Risk and Control system so nothing gets lost between departments. You map resolutions against the Bank's actual business and operational functions, working out which stakeholders each one touches before anything gets communicated further. Gap assessments follow: you test existing controls against HSA Resolutions, flag where compliance is falling short, and recommend the corrective action needed to close it. Once an action plan is agreed, you track its progress and keep the team leader updated on outstanding obligations, live issues, and anything at risk of slipping. Reports and dashboards for stakeholders across the Bank come out of this same tracking work, built to the department's own policies and procedures. Arabic and English fluency matters here because resolutions, correspondence, and stakeholder discussions move between both languages constantly. Islamic banking products and AAOIFI Shari'a Standards sit at the center of the knowledge this role calls on day to day.
