Job description
This role is for a Business Development Manager for HSBC's UAE NRI Representative Office. The candidate will be responsible for acquiring new-to-bank Premier clients, driving Net New Money growth by converting affluent individuals into HSBC Premier relationships, and ensuring a seamless onboarding and activation experience. Responsibilities include leveraging lead sources, networking, achieving monthly and quarterly targets, participating in third-party events, assisting with account openings and activations, ensuring compliance with cross-border guidelines, and delivering exceptional service.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Identify, prospect, and onboard new Premier clients with a focus on affluent and emerging affluent individuals
- Leverage internal and external lead sources, networking, and market intelligence to generate a strong pipeline
- Achieve monthly and quarterly targets for Net New Money inflows
- Encourage clients to fund accounts promptly post-onboarding and deepen wallet share
- Plan and participate in third-party events, corporate offices installations
- Assist customers with account opening, form filling, and documentation verification
- Activate accounts including digital account activation, debit card activation, and ensure initial account funding
- Service and resolve customer-specific queries
- Ensure strict adherence to HSBC cross-border guidelines
- Respond to customer complaints in a timely and satisfactory manner
Experience & skills
- Graduation degree is mandatory to secure UAE Visa and Work Permit
- Bachelorās degree in business, finance, or related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum two years in banking sales experience or equivalent business development role
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Customer-driven with a strong focus on quality service and business development
- Strong planning, organization, and accountability skills
