Job description
Alstom, a global leader in transportation solutions including high-speed trains, metros, monorails, trams, turnkey systems, services, infrastructure, signaling, and digital mobility, is seeking a Railway Telecommunication Project Manager to join its Riyadh operations. The role involves driving the execution of telecommunication projects to meet contractual obligations and exceed customer expectations while ensuring timely delivery and maximizing cash and margin outcomes. The Project Manager will oversee all aspects of project Quality, Cost, Delivery, Planning (QCDP), and Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) compliance. Responsibilities include managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders, coordinating with engineering, procurement, and operations teams, and protecting Alstom's legal and contractual rights. The position requires strong leadership in motivating cross-functional teams, monitoring progress, implementing corrective actions, identifying and mitigating risks, and ensuring effective communication with all relevant stakeholders. The role contributes to Alstom's mission of delivering smarter and greener mobility solutions by ensuring high-quality execution of telecommunication projects in the rail sector.

Key responsibilities
- Maximize project results with respect to cash and margin while ensuring on-time delivery of railway telecommunication projects
- Take accountability for project Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Planning (QCDP) to ensure performance targets are met and exceeded
- Ensure compliance with project Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards throughout project lifecycle
- Manage and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders including clients, contractors, and internal teams to meet project objectives
- Identify and mitigate project risks proactively to ensure smooth execution and minimize operational disruptions
- Lead, motivate, and coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, procurement, and operations to achieve project goals
- Monitor project progress continuously, analyze performance data, and implement corrective actions as needed to stay on schedule
- Ensure effective communication, reporting, and documentation to all relevant stakeholders, including senior management and clients
- Protect Alstom’s legal and contractual rights through proper contract management and adherence to project agreements
- Propose additional business opportunities to Customer Directors or Platform leadership by identifying potential project improvements or expansions
Experience & skills
- Hold a degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field to ensure a solid technical and managerial foundation
- Demonstrate experience or understanding of managing complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and cross-functional coordination
- Exhibit knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices applicable to railway telecommunication projects
- Possess strong communication and negotiation skills to effectively liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams
- Show leadership and team management capabilities to motivate and guide cross-functional teams towards project objectives
- Maintain familiarity with contractual and financial management principles to ensure compliance and optimize project outcomes
- Exhibit strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address challenges and drive project success
- Demonstrate capability to monitor project progress, implement corrective actions, and ensure delivery in accordance with Alstom’s quality and safety standards
