Job description
The Market Research Analyst for DP World Maritime Solutions in Dubai is responsible for conducting in-depth market research and analysis to support strategic decision-making and business development initiatives within the marine logistics sector, with a focus on offshore oil and gas and renewable energy pipelines. The role involves gathering and analyzing competitor, customer, and market data to inform sales, marketing, and business development efforts, monitoring industry news, publications, and regulatory updates, developing and maintaining forecasting models for market trends, supply-demand dynamics, and pricing fluctuations. The analyst collaborates with Sales, Marketing, Business Development, and Finance teams to provide actionable, data-driven insights, prepares clear reports and presentations for senior management, assists in market segmentation and targeting strategies, monitors marketing and sales campaign effectiveness, and contributes to the continuous improvement of market research methodologies, tools, and processes. The position requires comprehensive understanding of the organization's services, value propositions, and the oil and gas industry context to accurately interpret market data and support the company's strategic growth objectives.

- Assist in developing market segmentation and targeting strategies to optimize organizational market position and growth opportunities
- Monitor and evaluate effectiveness of marketing and sales campaigns and provide recommendations for improvement based on data analysis
- Contribute to continuous improvement of market research methodologies, tools, and processes to enhance accuracy and quality of insights
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the organization's services and value propositions to contextualize market data within the oil and gas industry
Experience & skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a market research or analyst role, preferably within marine logistics, offshore oil and gas, or renewable energy sectors
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis tools and methodologies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Ability to conduct competitor, customer, and market analysis
- Experience developing forecasting models and market segmentation strategies
- Strong report writing and presentation preparation skills
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate findings effectively
- Knowledge of industry regulations and market trends in marine logistics and offshore energy
- Capability to contribute to continuous improvement of research methodologies and processes
