Job description
Finacle is the core banking platform this AVP & Solution Architect owns from end to end at RAKBANK, working on a hybrid basis from the Operation Centre in Dubai. Target architecture covers the core modules, including CIF, Loans and Liabilities, GL, VAM and Liquidity Solutions. EOD processing, batch cycles and cross-application handoffs need to run reliably so close of business happens on time. Integration is a big part of the work, linking the core with digital channels, payments, CRM, risk, compliance and the data warehouse through APIs, messaging and file interfaces. Customizations, extensions and upgrades are designed to balance standard product capability against bespoke development. Conventional and Islamic products across Large Corporate/FI, SME and Retail all fall within scope, and UAE regulatory requirements are built into design from the start. Architecture reviews, impact assessments and technical risk assessments precede any change to the core. Expect to bring 10 or more years in banking technology with mandatory Finacle experience, hands-on customization or scripting skills and a track record of core banking upgrades, migrations or greenfield implementations at UAE tiered banks.

Key responsibilities
- Own end-to-end solution architecture for the Finacle core banking platform, translating business, product and regulatory requirements into scalable technical designs
- Define and govern the target architecture for CIF, Loans and Liabilities, GL, VAM and Liquidity Solutions in line with enterprise architecture principles
- Optimize EOD processing, batch cycles and cross-application handoffs for reliable close-of-business operations
- Design integration patterns and interfaces between the core and digital channels, payments, CRM, risk, compliance and the data warehouse
- Lead solution design for core customizations, extensions and upgrades, balancing standard capability against bespoke development
- Provide architectural guidance across conventional and Islamic products for Large Corporate/FI, SME and Retail
- Assess UAE and regional regulatory requirements and translate them into core banking design changes
- Partner with business, delivery and vendor teams on implementation roadmaps for core banking programmes, upgrades and migrations
- Conduct architecture reviews, impact assessments and technical risk assessments for core banking changes
- Mentor solution and technical teams as the go-to authority on core banking architecture
Experience & skills
- Bring 10 or more years of experience in Banking and Financial Services Technology with a strong Core Banking focus
- Demonstrate deep product knowledge across CIF, Loans and Liabilities, GL, VAM and Liquidity Solutions
- Understand core banking frameworks including EOD processing, batch scheduling and cross-application handoffs
- Prove experience integrating core banking with channels, payments, CRM, risk and compliance via APIs and middleware
- Offer UAE banking experience across conventional and Islamic banking for Large Corporate/FI, SME and Retail
- Show hands-on development and customization experience on core banking platforms, ideally Finacle scripting
- Know UAE and regional regulatory requirements affecting core banking
- Have implementation experience with UAE tiered banks across upgrades, migrations or greenfield programmes
- Hold a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline
- Possess mandatory Core Banking experience on the Finacle platform
