Job description
The Telecom BIM Coordinator – System BIM Coordinator is responsible for supporting the BIM Manager in coordinating digital models for a major rail infrastructure metro project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on integrating and coordinating multidisciplinary BIM models produced by internal project teams and external partners, ensuring compliance with established BIM standards, exchange protocols, and collaborative digital engineering processes. The coordinator manages digital model workflows across project subsystems, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and alignment with civil engineering interface studies and installation requirements. The position is responsible for leading clash detection activities using federated models, identifying geometrical conflicts, and supporting resolution processes across multiple technical disciplines. The role supports BIM coordination meetings by preparing and utilizing federated models as reference for design validation and integration discussions. It also ensures proper model development tracking, including level of detail verification, metadata compliance, and adherence to project delivery schedules for civil works and subsystem installations. The BIM Coordinator manages model exchanges using collaborative platforms such as ProjectWise, ensuring traceability, version control, and proper archiving of all digital assets. The role contributes to the delivery of BIM methodologies, processes, and guidance for collaborative production, maintenance, and delivery of project information and data. Additionally, the coordinator oversees BIM outputs throughout all project delivery stages, supports integration design in BIM meetings, and performs technical validation including clash detection, volume clearance checks, and metadata verification. The role assists the Civil Work Interface and BIM Manager in design development review and deliverable validation. Strong coordination is required across multiple engineering disciplines, ensuring smooth collaboration between systems, contractors, and design teams in a complex rail infrastructure environment.
