Job description
Drama at Kuwait English School runs from the classroom to the main stage, and this Drama Teacher in Kuwait City teaches the subject up to IGCSE level, with A-Level experience welcomed. Lessons follow the National Curriculum for England, preparing students for practical performances, coursework and Cambridge or Pearson examinations. Confidence and creativity grow in an inclusive classroom where feedback is constructive and progress is tracked carefully. Each year brings at least one school production to contribute to or lead, which means after-school rehearsals when needed. Drama clubs and wider performing arts activity across the school also depend on your energy. Pay ranges from KD 1,046 to KD 1,576 per month tax-free on a two-year renewable contract, with furnished accommodation, annual return flights, private medical cover and a 50% tuition discount for dependent children. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in drama, theatre, performing arts or education, ideally a recognised teaching qualification and one to two years of teaching experience, along with experience directing or contributing to school productions. Eligibility for a Kuwait work visa is required.
