Job description
DHL Global Forwarding is seeking a House of Pricing Tender Manager in Dubai to manage and optimize pricing processes during large and complex RFQs for ocean freight. This position plays a crucial role in translating customer documents into standardized internal formats, ensuring data quality, and coordinating regional and country-level inputs. The role is embedded within the Regional Ocean Freight Commercial Center and supports pricing strategies to achieve high bid win rates and timely response to customer tenders. The successful candidate will leverage deep industry knowledge, analytical skills, and project management capabilities to lead pricing processes and ensure compliance with global standards.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Manage pricing process during RFQs to achieve high hit rate and meet customer timelines.
- Drive and support RFQ management for product aspects in line with DGF processes and standards.
- Create analytics frameworks to support gatekeepers in pricing strategy and bid competitiveness.
- Translate customer documentation into internal pricing instructions for regional and country OCCs.
- Instruct and coordinate country OCCs to ensure timely and accurate pricing inputs.
- Validate all received pricing inputs for completeness, compliance, and consistency.
- Roll-up country inputs into regional bid responses and ensure quotation integrity.
- Manage IPT documents to ensure TMS format compliance.
- Drive process improvements and data quality in the pricing lifecycle.
- Increase response quality and timeliness through support and training in HoP pricing processes.
Experience & skills
- Deep knowledge of forwarding business and supply chain logistics.
- Proficient understanding of ocean freight (OFR) product offering.
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple bids in parallel.
- Excellent communication skills across various cultural backgrounds.
- Analytical mindset with operational experience to assess bid inputs.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure in high workload periods.
- Fluent use of Excel including formulas and handling large datasets.
- Fluency in English required.
- Experience using business intelligence tools.
- Proven application of project management principles including task scheduling and coordination.
- 2ā3 years of relevant work experience.
- Degree in Business Administration or Logistics preferred.
- Experience in global organizations is a plus.
