Job description
NEOM is building a new vision of the future in northwest Saudi Arabia, featuring hyperconnected cities, cutting-edge infrastructure, and transformative industries. As part of the TROJENA sector, the Development Manager will oversee multi-disciplinary and high-value projects from concept through delivery. This role acts as a strategic bridge across project management, design, construction, and stakeholder coordination, ensuring alignment with NEOMās goals. The individual will lead planning and design initiatives, liaise with internal and external stakeholders, manage risks, and drive commercially sound outcomes through innovative and efficient development processes.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Accountable for the development and execution of the design, working closely with the proponent team from concept to handover
- Bridge between development, project management, construction, cost, and infrastructure teams
- Develop design strategies to optimize commercial and design outcomes
- Initiate design briefs, product qualities, and development concepts
- Assist in developing and managing the overall development timeline and delivery
- Participate in procurement, contract management, and cost management activities
- Involved in construction planning stages
- Manage consultants including engineers, architects, and designers
- Consolidate design intents, qualities, and specifications to meet safety and design requirements
- Refine sales, marketing materials, and internal approvals
- Execute value engineering in a goal-centric and cost-effective manner
- Provide guidance on authority, design, and construction matters
Experience & skills
- 8ā10 years of experience with a developer in the role of Project Manager or Development Manager
- Bachelor's Degree in Real Estate, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related field
- Professional registration or accreditation such as MACCE, MIED, CARB, PE, MICE, PMP, or CIOB is desirable
- Experience working on large-scale developments valued at $1 billion or more
- Strong understanding of real estate from architectural concepts to financial modeling
- Ability to create and write development briefs and feasibility studies
- Good understanding of authority regulations in residential development
- Strong planning, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal communication skills
- Fluent in English, both written and oral
