Job description
The Team Leader – Civil Engineering Projects role in the United Arab Emirates oversees civil engineering activities across construction projects in Dubai and the Northern Emirates. This position is responsible for leading civil engineering teams, coordinating on-site activities, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and delivering project milestones efficiently. The role involves supervising technical execution, managing resources, and facilitating collaboration between project teams, contractors, and stakeholders. The Team Leader monitors progress, ensures adherence to project schedules, reviews civil works, and provides guidance on construction methodologies and quality assurance. The position requires effective interpretation of technical drawings, planning and scheduling of tasks, and oversight of material and workforce allocation. The role supports reporting of project status, site inspections, and implementation of best practices to achieve project objectives while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance throughout the construction lifecycle.

- Lead and manage civil engineering teams on multiple construction projects across Dubai and Northern Emirates, ensuring effective supervision, guidance, and collaboration.
- Coordinate on-site activities and resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to optimize productivity and project delivery schedules.
- Supervise technical execution of civil works, ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Review and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications to provide accurate guidance to teams and contractors.
- Monitor project progress and performance, identifying issues, implementing corrective actions, and ensuring timely achievement of milestones.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration among project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to maintain operational efficiency and resolve technical challenges.
- Conduct regular site inspections to verify quality, safety, and adherence to approved construction practices.
- Manage documentation, reporting, and tracking of project activities, ensuring all records are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with project requirements.
- Support risk management and problem-solving initiatives on site to minimize delays, safety incidents, and technical discrepancies.
- Implement civil engineering best practices and ensure adherence to company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements across all project phases.
Experience & skills
- Proven experience in civil engineering projects with demonstrated leadership or supervisory capabilities.
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, civil engineering principles, and on-site project execution.
- Ability to read, interpret, and provide guidance based on technical drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Experience in managing teams, coordinating resources, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Competence in project scheduling, progress tracking, and reporting.
- Familiarity with construction materials, site inspections, and civil works monitoring.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills for coordinating between internal teams, contractors, and project management.
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to address technical challenges and implement practical solutions on site.
- Knowledge of relevant local regulations, industry standards, and best practices in civil engineering and construction.
