Job description
The Assistant Manager – Finance Control (Real Estate) at Al-Futtaim Group Real Estate is responsible for overseeing financial operations for entities within the Real Estate division. The role requires hands-on management of financial reporting in compliance with IFRS, including preparation of balance sheets, cashflow budgets, monthly forecasts, and management accounts. Responsibilities include month-end closings, accrual entries, revenue recognition, expense reporting, account reconciliation, and liaising with external auditors. The position also encompasses monitoring internal controls, supporting strategic business planning, contributing to process development, system automation, policy implementation, and ensuring statutory compliance. The role requires strong ERP proficiency, particularly in SAP4Hana, and familiarity with Dubai Real Estate laws, enabling accurate, transparent financial representation and supporting the division’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities
- Manage and control financial and accounting systems of the Real Estate division in adherence with international standards
- Monitor internal controls to ensure financial stability, transparency, and accuracy
- Support department heads in decision-making and strategic business planning, including monthly business reviews and variance reporting
- Handle month-end close processes including accruals, revenue recognition, expense reporting, and account reconciliations
- Prepare and finalize financial statements in accordance with IFRS and act as liaison with external auditors during statutory audits
- Provide financial support to internal stakeholders including Real Estate business teams, HR, Group Treasury, and Corporate Finance
- Contribute to initiatives for process development, mapping, system automation, and policy drafting and implementation
- Ensure timely completion of audit-related tasks and accurate preparation of statutory financial statements
Experience & skills
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance
- Qualified accountant with CA or ACCA certification
- 4–6 years of experience in Finance and Accounting, including at least 2 years in the Real Estate industry
- Proficiency in ERP financial software, preferably SAP4Hana
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial statement preparation
- Understanding of Dubai Real Estate Laws, Guidelines, and directives
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines
- Effective communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong decision-making skills for strategic business planning
- Experience in process improvement, system automation, and policy implementation
