The Information Security Senior Specialist – Country CISO (Vice President) at Deutsche Bank in Riyadh is responsible for overseeing and coordinating information security governance and regulatory compliance activities within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This role serves as the primary point of contact for all information security matters in the country and ensures alignment with Deutsche Bank’s global cybersecurity policies and regulatory frameworks. Working closely with the Regional CISO for EMEA and the global information security organization, the position plays a key role in cascading and implementing the bank’s global information security strategy within Saudi Arabia. The role requires deep understanding of the local regulatory environment, financial sector cybersecurity requirements, and the operational needs of banking institutions in the region. The Country CISO is responsible for monitoring regulatory developments, identifying gaps in existing information security processes, and ensuring that appropriate controls and initiatives are implemented to mitigate cyber risks. The role also involves supporting information security incident management activities, promoting security awareness programs, and ensuring that local projects incorporate information security considerations from their early stages. Additionally, the position acts as the central liaison between Deutsche Bank’s global CISO regulatory team, local management, regulators, government agencies, and industry associations. The specialist ensures that local policies align with global information security frameworks while maintaining compliance with Saudi regulatory and legal requirements. Through collaboration with business, technology, and compliance teams, the Country CISO supports the protection of critical banking infrastructure and ensures that information security standards are consistently applied across operations in Saudi Arabia.

Key responsibilities
- Support the Country CISO and Regional CISO EMEA in implementing Deutsche Bank’s information security strategy within Saudi Arabia
- Oversee the implementation of information security processes and controls across local banking operations
- Identify gaps in existing security frameworks and initiate improvement programs to strengthen cybersecurity posture
- Support information security incident management processes and coordinate responses when necessary
- Promote information security awareness across business and technology teams within the organization
- Monitor changes in the Saudi regulatory and legal environment related to cybersecurity and financial sector security standards
- Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements while aligning with global information security policies
- Serve as a primary liaison with regulators, government agencies, industry groups, and internal global security teams
- Develop and maintain local information security policies aligned with global group standards
- Ensure that local business and technology projects incorporate information security expertise from the initial stages
- Coordinate with central CISO functions to ensure proper governance and risk management for technology initiatives
- Provide regular feedback to the Regional CISO regarding country-specific cybersecurity challenges and regulatory developments
Experience & skills
- Minimum of 5 years of information security experience within the Saudi Arabian financial services industry
- Strong knowledge of Saudi regulatory frameworks related to cybersecurity and banking technology
- Proven experience implementing information security governance frameworks and controls
- Experience working in financial institutions or banking environments in Saudi Arabia
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity risk management, security policies, and incident management processes
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field
- Professional cybersecurity certifications such as CISM or CISSP
- Excellent communication and organizational skills for managing internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with global cybersecurity teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to regulatory and operational details
- Ability to engage with regulators, government agencies, and internal leadership regarding security requirements
