Job description
The Dive Operations Manager at Red Sea Global is responsible for establishing, setting up, and managing Galaxea Dive Centres, ensuring safe, efficient, and world-class diving operations. The role encompasses overseeing daily dive operations, guest experiences, staff performance, training, dive equipment maintenance, and adherence to DSM Red Sea Global Dive Safety Manual. The Manager leads pre-opening setup, recruitment, operational readiness, SOP establishment, and post-opening operations, including supervision of dive instructors, guides, and support staff. The position demands compliance with PADI or equivalent standards, safety, environmental stewardship, and sustainability. The Manager also coordinates with internal departments such as Sustainability, SEZ, and external stakeholders including Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Environment, universities, and regulatory authorities. The role requires operational reporting, continuous improvement initiatives, revenue management for dive packages and retail, and fostering a culture of professional excellence, innovation, cost efficiency, and premium guest experience delivery.

Key responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all day-to-day dive operations at assigned Galaxea Dive Centre sites.
- Support the development, setup, and operational readiness of new dive centres across additional assets.
- Manage, coach, and develop a team of dive professionals ensuring alignment with RSG brand, safety, and service standards.
- Coordinate with Sustainability and SEZ departments to ensure environmental and marine life protection.
- Ensure full adherence to the DSM Red Sea Global Dive Safety Manual and other operational policies and standards.
- Supervise dive instructors, guides, and support teams maintaining training agency standards (e.g., PADI) for courses and certifications.
- Maintain accurate records of diving activities, certifications, and equipment maintenance schedules.
- Monitor and manage retail sales, dive packages, and other dive-related revenue streams.
- Conduct regular safety drills, inspections, and staff briefings to uphold safety and operational excellence.
- Prepare and submit operational and performance reports to the Galaxea Cluster Manager and other stakeholders.
- Identify and implement process improvements, operational efficiencies, and enhancements to guest experiences.
Experience & skills
- Certified PADI Instructor or equivalent professional-level diving certification.
- Minimum 500 logged dives and certification of at least 50 students across core courses.
- Proven experience managing dive centre operations or resort-based dive programs.
- Strong background in hospitality, guest relations, and dive business management.
- Solid understanding of dive equipment management and maintenance.
- Experience in marine conservation, health & safety, and diving operations across multiple geographic regions.
- Fit-to-Dive medical certification.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Leadership, communication, and public-speaking skills.
- Customer service orientation with proactive problem-solving ability.
- Organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to coach and develop staff in dive operations and guest experience delivery.
- Desirable: Additional language skills (Arabic preferred), social media content creation, marine life identification, technical workshop skills for dive equipment maintenance, First Aid and CPR certification.
