Job description
The Director of Transport Planning role at Qiddiya Investment Company leads transport planning initiatives for a visionary entertainment destination in Riyadh to ensure an efficient and integrated transport framework that supports accessibility and mobility for visitors and residents. The position develops and implements transport strategies; oversees preparation of master plans, feasibility studies, and transport models to evaluate transport needs and solutions; and builds relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies and external consultants, to integrate transport systems with regional networks. The role coordinates traffic impact assessments and ensures compliance with local regulations and guidelines, manages and mentors transport planning teams to foster a culture of innovation and excellence, and conducts research on emerging transportation technologies and trends to inform planning decisions. The director prepares reports, presentations, and proposals that communicate transport planning strategies and recommendations to management and stakeholders; leads project updates and revisions to adapt to changing project scopes and timelines; and develops and implements policies and procedures to enhance transport planning practices. Requirements include a bachelor's degree in Transport Planning, Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or a related field (master's preferred); 12ā15 years of transport planning experience focused on large-scale urban or infrastructure projects; strong knowledge of transport policies, regulations, and best practices; proven project management, stakeholder engagement, and team leadership; excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to inform planning strategies; strong communication skills; in-depth knowledge of transport planning software and modeling tools; and a commitment to sustainable transport practices and innovations.

- Demonstrate strong knowledge of transport policies, regulations, and best practices
- Show proven experience in project management, stakeholder engagement, and team leadership
- Exhibit excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to inform decision-making and planning strategies
