Job description
SADAFCO seeks an experienced Business Manager to oversee the end-to-end operations of its depot in Jouf, Saudi Arabia. This role involves leading sales, distribution, logistics, HR, and financial operations to ensure the depot delivers profitable growth, operational excellence, and brand execution in alignment with the company’s sales & distribution strategy. The Business Manager will drive sales through van operations, manage key account relationships, optimize route-to-market efficiency, ensure strict adherence to returns/wastage policies, and oversee depot security and compliance. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong sales acumen, team management, and the ability to balance strategic initiatives with operational execution.

Key responsibilities
- Execute depot sales targets and supervise sales force (ASMs, Supervisors, Merchandising Leaders)
- Develop new sales channels, clients, and markets in the depot’s region
- Negotiate and implement regional agreements with Key Accounts
- Ensure strict adherence to returns management and wastage control policies
- Prepare depot sales forecasts and ensure accurate reporting
- Oversee merchandising execution in line with Trade Marketing strategies
- Implement credit and collection policies, ensuring timely customer payments
- Ensure quality control of sales processes and MSFA compliance
- Manage depot logistics to ensure optimal product delivery and availability
- Oversee depot workshops (maintenance of vans, refrigeration, forklifts)
- Ensure depot security, efficiency, safety, and alignment with SADAFCO standards
- Recruit, train, and manage depot staff across functions in line with HR policies
- Collaborate with Finance on budgeting, monitoring, and depot-level financial controls
- Drive continuous business development and route-to-market optimization
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing, or Finance (Master’s preferred)
- 8+ years of relevant FMCG sales/distribution experience, with at least 3–5 years in depot/line management
- Proven track record in direct van sales operations
- Experience in both Modern Trade (Key Accounts) and Traditional Trade
- Strong English (fluent in speech, writing, reading); Arabic proficiency preferred
- Age range: 35–45 years (with limited family obligations)
- Leadership skills with ability to manage a diverse workforce
- Commercially astute with strong negotiation and analytical skills
- Hands-on, can-do leadership style with multitasking ability
