Job description
The Manager Crew Training Digital Learning at Emirates in Dubai is responsible for leading the design, development, implementation, and management of digital learning platforms and immersive training initiatives for cabin crew within the Cabin Crew Training College. This role oversees VR/IXR simulation development, ensures alignment with business objectives, safety regulations, and industry standards, and continuously monitors and optimizes learning performance metrics. The position involves close collaboration with subject matter experts, internal stakeholders, and technology teams to create innovative and effective digital training experiences. Responsibilities extend to managing training hardware, content development, project execution, resource allocation, and budget management, ensuring operational efficiency, high-quality delivery, and the integration of emerging technologies to enhance crew readiness and operational excellence.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Oversee the development, deployment, and maintenance of VR/IXR training simulations and immersive reality experiences tailored for cabin crew training
- Develop and implement strategic digital learning initiatives integrating immersive technologies for enhanced training effectiveness
- Lead, mentor, and manage the digital learning team responsible for training platform development and continuous improvement
- Manage and maintain digital learning hardware including VR systems, servers, and workstations in collaboration with IT and business support teams
- Lead the design, customization, and continuous improvement of IXR/VR training modules ensuring content relevance, accuracy, and alignment with training objectives
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of digital learning content and immersive sessions using trainee feedback, performance data, and instructor input
- Coordinate cross-functional projects with internal and external stakeholders including vendors, hardware suppliers, and software developers to ensure timely, compliant, and within-budget delivery
- Oversee budgeting and resource allocation for digital learning operations, including software, hardware, and training staff
- Spearhead innovation in digital learning by introducing new capabilities, e-learning tools, and virtual simulation solutions to enhance training scalability and effectiveness
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and organizational policies across all digital training initiatives
Experience & skills
- Completed Degree or Honors (12+3 equivalent) in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline
- 10+ years of experience in in-flight services, administration, or training & development with strong IT and digital innovation expertise
- Proven experience managing complex projects and cross-functional teams
- Experience in introducing new capabilities and supporting organizational change initiatives
- Proficiency in process improvement, process design, and implementing innovative solutions
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, drive consensus, and resolve conflicts effectively
- Proven ability to communicate and collaborate with stakeholders across diverse functions
- Experience in agile work environments with the ability to manage uncertainty
- Proficiency in project management methodologies and software tools for planning, tracking, and reporting
