Job description
Clyde & Co is seeking a Senior Associate to join their Commercial / TMT practice in Dubai. This role is ideal for a qualified lawyer with over 6 yearsâ post-qualification experience and a strong background in commercial and TMT law. The position will cover a broad range of complex commercial contracts and regulatory issues, including outsourcing, distribution, franchising, technology transactions, and data privacy. The successful candidate will also contribute to client relationship management, business development initiatives, training delivery, and the drafting of legal presentations and pitches. Working across the firmâs regional IPTC team, the candidate will be a key player in delivering strategic legal support to clients across the Middle East.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Lead review, drafting, and negotiation of a wide range of commercial and technology agreements
- Advise on outsourcing, procurement, agency, distribution, and franchising arrangements
- Advise on sponsorship and brand licensing agreements
- Handle general commercial contracts including advertising, consultancy, supply chain and procurement matters
- Provide guidance on TMT-related legal and regulatory matters, including data privacy and telecoms regulation
- Support corporate transactions with technology-related due diligence
- Develop and manage relationships with key clients and stakeholders
- Support marketing and business development campaigns and strategy
- Prepare and deliver client training sessions and legal seminars
- Lead the preparation of legal pitches, proposals, and training materials
Experience & skills
- Qualified lawyer with 6+ years of PQE in commercial and TMT law
- Strong academic background with a 2:1 degree classification (or equivalent)
- Experience with a reputable law firm known for commercial/TMT work
- Proven expertise in commercial and technology contract negotiation
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks for telecom, media, and data privacy
- Confidence in handling transactional structuring and due diligence
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage high-responsibility tasks
- Strong interpersonal and client engagement skills
- Experience delivering legal training or public presentations is an advantage
- Interest in contributing to the growth of a leading TMT practice in the Middle East
