Job description
The Senior Executive – Finance at J Club, part of Jumeirah’s luxury hospitality portfolio, plays a critical role in supporting financial performance, operational decision-making, and compliance within a premium fitness and wellness environment. The position is responsible for analyzing the financial performance of all departments and providing meaningful insights to stakeholders to enhance operational efficiency and profitability. The role contributes significantly to the month-end closing process, preparation of financial reports, budgeting, and forecasting cycles. The incumbent prepares and analyzes monthly Profit & Loss statements, conducts detailed variance analysis, and ensures accurate allocation of expenses to the appropriate cost centres. Additionally, the role oversees and coordinates Shared Services back-office functions including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and General Ledger (GL), ensuring that financial transactions are processed accurately, timely, and in compliance with company policies and accounting standards. The position requires validation of journal entries, reconciliations, revenue postings, and payables processing, while maintaining strict financial controls and proper accounting treatment. Working within a luxury hospitality setting, the role demands strong analytical capabilities, advanced system proficiency (Oracle, OPERA, Hyperion), and a commitment to delivering financial excellence that supports exceptional guest and member experiences.

Key responsibilities
- Analyze financial performance across departments to support effective operational and strategic decision-making
- Prepare and review monthly Profit & Loss statements, including detailed variance analysis and commentary
- Support the month-end closing process, ensuring timely and accurate journal postings and reconciliations
- Allocate expenses accurately to appropriate cost centres and maintain financial data integrity
- Coordinate and oversee Shared Services functions (AR, AP, GL) to ensure compliance and accuracy in financial processing
- Review and validate journal entries, revenue postings, payables processing, reconciliations, and general ledger updates
- Ensure correct coding, classification, and accounting treatment of all financial transactions
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, providing analytical input and financial insights
- Maintain compliance with financial policies, accounting standards, and internal controls
- Collaborate with operational stakeholders to enhance financial transparency and performance improvement
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant finance experience, preferably within hospitality or luxury environments
- Experience within international luxury hospitality or a recognized blue-chip organization preferred
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for financial analysis and reporting
- Proficiency in Oracle ERP, OPERA PMS, and Hyperion systems
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment
