Job description
Danat Al Emarat, a specialty women's and children's hospital in Abu Dhabi, runs Neonatology, Pediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynecology and Women's Health services alongside one of the UAE's few dedicated Fetal Medicine Departments and a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and this Senior Cerner Clinical Application Analyst role keeps the Cerner electronic health record systems behind that care running smoothly. You configure and implement Cerner EHR applications tailored to clinical workflows, building, testing and deploying Cerner modules such as Pharmacy and Supplychain along with related enhancements. System testing and validation confirm accuracy and performance before anything goes live. Advanced support goes out to end-users when complex issues arise, with problems analyzed and resolved in a timely manner and documentation kept current. Healthcare providers and IT teams work together here to optimize system functionality, spotting workflow improvements and enhancements as they come up. Cerner-related projects and upgrades rely on this role as a technical resource throughout. Training sessions for clinical staff round out the job, alongside user guides and support materials built for Cerner applications. UAE regulatory knowledge around pharmacy is required, given the systems this role touches, including CPOE, Pharmnet and supply chain modules.
