Job description
The Business Development Head will lead the company’s strategic growth initiatives, global partnerships, and high-impact sales opportunities. This executive role focuses on scaling business strategies, increasing market share, expanding revenue streams, and strengthening relationships with clients and partners worldwide. Reporting to the CEO/CRO/Managing Director, the role requires a visionary leader with deep expertise in enterprise sales, consultative selling, and complex deal negotiations.

Key responsibilities
- Define and execute the overall business development strategy across multiple geographies and verticals
- Identify and capitalize on strategic opportunities, including new markets, customer segments, and partnerships
- Build and lead a high-performing global BD team focused on revenue generation and client success
- Own the sales pipeline, set BD targets, and monitor performance metrics
- Develop executive-level relationships with clients, industry stakeholders, and partners
- Collaborate with product, marketing, and delivery teams on go-to-market strategies and tailored client solutions
- Lead negotiations for large, complex, multimillion-dollar deals
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and leadership forums
- Provide market intelligence and competitor analysis to guide strategy
- Ensure effective reporting, forecasting, and CRM adoption across the BD team
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred
- 15+ years of progressive experience in business development, strategic sales, or enterprise partnerships
- Proven record of leading BD teams and closing multimillion-dollar deals
- Deep knowledge of B2B enterprise sales and consultative selling
- Experience managing long-cycle deal closures
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Global BD experience across US, Europe, APAC, or Middle East
- Exposure to mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures
- Experience in high-growth, tech-driven, or consulting environments
- Proficiency in CRM tools like Salesforce or HubSpot
