Job description
The Senior Insurance Analyst at QatarEnergy will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic insurance solutions to ensure comprehensive coverage for corporate insurable risks. This includes advising stakeholders on risk exposures related to contracts, capital projects, acquisitions, and divestments, and managing corporate insurance claims to optimize settlement outcomes. The role involves placing operational and construction insurance programs across international energy markets, with a focus on multi-country coverage. The analyst will also contribute to risk engineering initiatives such as Estimated Maximum Loss (EML) assessments and survey program development. The role demands strong analytical skills, project and stakeholder management capabilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a multicultural team. Candidates should have 10–15 years of relevant experience in the energy or insurance sectors, hold a bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, and possess professional insurance qualifications (minimum diploma level) from the Chartered Insurance Institute or equivalent.

Experience & skills
- 10–15 years of experience in the energy or insurance sectors
- Proven experience placing operational and construction insurance in global markets
- Experience managing insurance programs across multiple countries
- Risk engineering experience, including EML assessments and survey program development, is beneficial
- Bachelor degree in Economics, Engineering, Finance, Business Administration, or Law
- Insurance qualifications at a minimum diploma level from the Chartered Insurance Institute or equivalent
- Strong analytical, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work effectively in multicultural teams and adapt to evolving risk environments
