The Key Account Manager - Logistics at Careem in Dubai, United Arab Emirates operates within Careem Express, a logistics and last-mile delivery vertical that functions as a startup within the broader Careem Everything App ecosystem. Careem is building a super-app for the greater Middle East, enabling mobility, food and grocery ordering, payments, and logistics services across 70+ cities in 10 countries. The Key Account Manager is responsible for driving B2B logistics growth by acquiring new enterprise accounts across the UAE, managing relationships with Tier 1 clients, and expanding revenue from both new and existing customers in industries such as e-commerce, food, grocery, and other non-food verticals. The role requires end-to-end ownership of business development activities including prospecting, targeting, pitching, and contract negotiation through to go-live implementation. The position plays a critical role in building sustainable revenue streams, managing commercial negotiations, and ensuring achievement of monthly revenue targets while contributing directly to portfolio-level gross profit and overall P&L performance. The role requires close coordination with internal operations and logistics teams to ensure commercial feasibility of client proposals and alignment with operational execution capabilities. It also involves working with internal legal teams to finalize contracts and ensure smooth deal closure. The Key Account Manager is expected to act as the primary commercial interface for clients, maintaining strong relationships with Tier 1 enterprise accounts and continuously driving order growth, revenue expansion, and daily order volume improvement. The role operates in a high-performance startup environment focused on scalability, efficiency, and continuous growth, with strong emphasis on commercial discipline, operational detail orientation, and data-driven performance tracking across key logistics metrics including revenue growth, gross profit percentage, and order volume expansion.

Key responsibilities
- Acquire new enterprise B2B accounts across the UAE through structured prospecting, targeting, pitching, and end-to-end sales execution including contract negotiation and go-live management
- Manage and strengthen relationships with existing Tier 1 clients to ensure retention, expansion, and sustained revenue growth within the logistics portfolio
- Achieve monthly revenue targets by driving growth from both new and existing B2B clients across multiple non-food and e-commerce verticals
- Conduct commercial negotiations with clients to ensure profitable agreements aligned with business objectives and logistics capabilities
- Coordinate with internal operations and logistics teams to ensure commercial proposals are feasible and operationally executable
- Collaborate with internal legal teams to facilitate contract closures and ensure compliance with internal governance requirements
- Drive sustainable growth in order volumes by identifying opportunities for increased demand in off-peak and peak periods
- Monitor portfolio performance including revenue, gross profit percentage, and daily order volume growth to ensure achievement of business KPIs
- Take full ownership of P&L performance for assigned client portfolio ensuring profitability and financial discipline
- Develop and execute account strategies focused on expanding Careem Express footprint within enterprise logistics and e-commerce clients
Experience & skills
- 2–3 years of experience in Account Management or Sales within B2B, e-commerce, or on-demand logistics industries
- Proven track record of high performance in revenue generation and business growth within commercial or sales roles
- Strong business development mindset with ability to identify, pursue, and close new enterprise opportunities
- Operational detail orientation with ability to coordinate across logistics and internal operations teams
- Experience handling commercial negotiations and managing enterprise client relationships
- Target-driven approach with strong problem-solving capability in fast-paced environments
- Ability to manage full P&L responsibility for assigned client portfolio
- Experience working in startup or high-growth environments with adaptability to changing priorities
