Job description
HSBC seeks a Head of Institutional Services, MENA – Global Payment Solutions (GPS), responsible for managing the satisfaction and service delivery for a portfolio of financial institutions, non-bank financial institutions, and affiliates across the MENAT region. The role requires strategic leadership to drive GPS client services, retention of annual revenue, and business development across Treasury and Cash Management solutions. This senior leadership role serves as the final escalation point for client service issues, coordinates global service delivery across regions, monitors service levels, and ensures compliance with regulatory frameworks. The incumbent will interact with C-suite stakeholders, drive service excellence, and manage a high-performing team in a complex, fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities
- Lead GPS client services strategy across MENAT to position HSBC as a top provider
- Drive retention and growth of client portfolio revenue
- Support development and delivery of bespoke treasury and cash management solutions
- Serve as the escalation point for clients and internal teams on GPS service issues
- Coordinate global service delivery across HSBC regions
- Monitor performance indicators and implement remedial actions for service delivery
- Build and manage strategic client relationships, including global and regional HQs
- Advise senior management on client engagement, attrition, and performance
- Ensure compliance with financial regulatory and risk frameworks
- Lead and develop a team, driving adherence to HSBC’s values and standards
Experience & skills
- Graduation degree (mandatory for UAE Visa/Work Permit)
- Previous banking background working with financial institutions and corporates
- Experience managing large multi-national corporate and FI relationships
- Prior people management experience
- Comprehensive understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements
- Strong knowledge of global cash management and clearing products
- Proven experience in complex relationship management and client retention
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrix environment with multiple stakeholders
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Business acumen and commercial awareness with global/regional perspective
