Job description
The Retail Area Manager at Minimalist.ae in Dubai, UAE, is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the performance and strategic direction of multiple luxury retail stores across the UAE. The role focuses on driving consistency in brand standards, customer experience, and operational excellence while managing sales targets, budgets, and forecasts. The position involves leading retail growth strategies, managing store openings, relocations, and expansions, and ensuring readiness through staffing and operational setup. The manager collaborates with Store Managers to enhance commercial performance, develop talent, implement training programs, and maintain luxury selling standards. The role also includes overseeing inventory performance, ensuring visual merchandising consistency, analyzing customer behavior and competitive trends, and ensuring adherence to company policies. This position requires strong leadership in multi-store environments, expertise in luxury retail operations, and the ability to drive performance through strategic planning and execution.

Key responsibilities
- Set and manage performance expectations, sales targets, budgets, and forecasts across all UAE stores
- Ensure consistent luxury brand standards and customer experience across multiple retail locations
- Lead retail growth strategy including new store openings, relocations, and expansions
- Manage pre-opening activities including store readiness, staffing plans, and operational setup
- Collaborate with Store Managers to improve commercial results and address performance issues
- Develop store managers and sales executives through coaching, KPI management, and performance reviews
- Support recruitment and talent acquisition for retail stores
- Plan and deliver structured training and development programs to maintain product knowledge and luxury selling standards
- Ensure compliance with company policies, operational procedures, and brand standards
- Monitor stock performance, identify risks, and ensure effective inventory management
- Maintain visual merchandising consistency through audits and reviews
- Provide market insights on customer behavior, mall performance, and competitive activity
Experience & skills
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in luxury retail, including at least 5+ years in multi-store leadership roles
- Strong leadership, coaching, and performance management experience in retail environments
- Strategic mindset with deep understanding of luxury retail operations and market dynamics
- Ideally hold a Bachelor’s degree
- Strong understanding of Emirati culture and customer preferences
- Fluency in Arabic and English for communication and stakeholder engagement
- Proven ability to manage sales targets, budgets, and retail performance metrics
- Experience leading store openings, expansions, and operational setup
- Capability to manage recruitment, training, and development of retail teams
- Ability to analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitive landscape to inform strategy
