Job description
The Production Technology Advisor - MENATI will serve as the focal point for completion, intervention, measurement, and production solutions technical sales activities across UAE, Oman, Yemen, and Pakistan. The role supports Baker Hughes’ oilfield services product lines, providing technical due diligence, tender support, and cross-product collaboration. The advisor will help customers improve well and reservoir performance through innovative technologies, mentor junior engineers, and ensure compliance with company policies and HSE standards. The role requires deep expertise in petroleum engineering, complex completions, artificial lift systems, production optimization, and digital oilfield solutions.

Key responsibilities
- Act as focal point for completion, intervention, measurement, and production solutions technical sales activities in UAE, Oman, Yemen, and Pakistan.
- Support all Oilfield Services product lines in the MENATI region.
- Build and develop technical and commercial business relationships with clients, providing technical due diligence for tenders and proposals.
- Recognize customer challenges and recommend high-value solutions, including cross-product line collaboration.
- Manage complex sales processes requiring stakeholder involvement and technical input.
- Provide mentoring and training to junior petroleum engineers.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and influence peers to meet business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, including HSE standards.
- Support field development planning, completion design, and production optimization strategies.
- Provide technical input in smart well completion designs, artificial lift systems, nodal analysis, and flow assurance issues.
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Geology, or Earth Sciences (Master’s preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
- 10 years of reservoir engineering experience across petroleum systems (oil, gas-condensate, dry gas) in sandstone and carbonate formations.
- 10+ years of experience in production technology and petroleum engineering aspects, including completion design.
- Experience with smart well completions, flow control, data acquisition, and metering.
- Expertise in nodal analysis, perforation design, stimulation design, and simulation methods.
- Experience in artificial lift selection, design, commissioning, and optimization.
- Experience in well performance modelling, network modelling, and integrated asset modelling.
- Knowledge of flow assurance challenges including sand, scale, wax, H2S, and CO2.
- Experience in coil tubing operations such as nitrogen lift and acid stimulation.
- Proficiency in Prosper, GAP, and NETool.
- Knowledge of digital oilfield systems and production management platforms.
- Proficiency in VBA, SQL, Python, and Power BI.
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication skills.
- Experience in commercial and contract management.
- Ability to travel regionally and internationally up to 30%.
