Job description
The Financial Controller role within Al-Futtaim Automotive | DOMASCO is a senior finance position based in Dubai, responsible for owning the monthly closure of accounts in line with Al-Futtaim Group policies and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). The role serves as a key finance business partner, supporting profitable growth through best-practice financial reporting, strong internal controls, logistics cost optimization, large B2B customer tenders and pricing, and customer financing and leasing solutions. The position oversees IFRS-compliant revenue, cost, and expense recognition, VAT compliance, and enforcement of SOP-aligned internal controls. It involves close collaboration with Al Futtaim Finance Sales on leasing terms, driving collections, resolving reconciliation issues, and improving working capital. The Financial Controller supervises core finance operations including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Inventory, and petty cash, conducts unit order studies to optimize inventory and reduce ageing stock, and manages SAP changes to ensure invoice formats and accounting processes remain compliant. The role also leads reporting and process improvement initiatives, reviews and enhances accounting policies, and provides leadership to branch accountants and financial analysts. Stakeholder engagement spans Group Legal, Admin, HR, and other Al-Futtaim Group companies, supporting compliance, governance, and operational efficiency within a large automotive business operating across distribution, manufacturing, leasing, and aftersales activities.
