Job description
The Associate Director – Medium Voltage Electrical is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing field operations and maintenance across Dry Utilities within The Red Sea Utility Company (TRSUC). The role ensures seamless support to all field users of utility services, supervising end-to-end in-field operations and maintenance processes, establishing guiding principles, and driving continuous improvement. The incumbent works closely with RSU/RSG departments and asset owners to manage maintenance, reliability, and operational objectives, ensuring compliance with processes, budgets, and timelines. Responsibilities include managing daily field operations, ensuring preventive and corrective maintenance, adopting technology for operational efficiency, monitoring power distribution networks, liaising with PPP partners, and overseeing operational risk management. The role also involves leadership and people management, policy enforcement, MIS reporting, safety, quality, environmental management, and driving continuous improvement initiatives aligned with international best practices and TRSUC's mission of sustainable utility services.

Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement annual business plans for field operations & maintenance in alignment with RSU and RSG strategic objectives
- Translate field operations and maintenance strategy into operational plans, monitoring performance and execution to achieve functional objectives
- Drive initiatives to optimize efficiency, reliability, and adoption of new technologies across Dry Utilities field operations
- Manage daily operational activities, including workforce allocation, preventive and corrective maintenance, and emergency response
- Supervise field teams and ensure compliance with safety, quality, environmental, and regulatory standards
- Oversee power distribution network operations, including unplanned outages, load management, and coordination with PPP companies
- Ensure accurate issuance and closure of work orders, permits, and maintenance records in the EAM system
- Analyze operational processes to eliminate redundancies and improve efficiency, productivity, and service quality
- Provide guidance and oversight on risk identification, mitigation, and reporting for Dry Utilities systems
- Establish governance mechanisms for fault resolution, maintenance scheduling, and operational compliance
- Lead, coach, and motivate field operations teams to foster collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of functional MIS reports to meet corporate standards and decision-making requirements
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives incorporating international best practices for operational excellence
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure alignment, safety, and service quality across field operations and maintenance
Experience & skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 12–15 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in a similar leadership role
- Proven experience managing MV/LV utility systems and field operations in large infrastructure projects
- Strong technical knowledge of dry utility systems, power distribution networks, and operational reliability
- Experience in KSA or GCC utility projects preferred
- Proficiency in preventive and corrective maintenance planning, operational efficiency metrics, and governance
- Ability to lead, motivate, and manage multidisciplinary field operations teams
- Experience with Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems and MIS reporting
- Strong understanding of safety, quality, and environmental regulations and standards
- Skilled in risk assessment, mitigation, and operational decision-making
- Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills across internal and external partners
- Demonstrated ability to implement continuous improvement and operational optimization initiatives
