Job description
The Contract Management Specialist in Dammam Region, Saudi Arabia, is responsible for managing the full contract lifecycle for construction and project management operations. The role includes reviewing and evaluating contracts to ensure legal and regulatory compliance, negotiating favorable terms while minimizing risk, and collaborating with internal teams to develop contract templates and SOPs. The position provides guidance to project managers, monitors contract performance including deliverables, milestones, and payments, and identifies and mitigates risks. The specialist maintains accurate contract documentation, manages contract modifications and extensions, stays current with industry best practices, and works with legal counsel on complex issues, ensuring compliance with internal Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health policies.

Key responsibilities
- Review and evaluate contract documents to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
- Negotiate contract terms and conditions to protect the company's interests and minimize risk
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop and maintain contract templates and standard operating procedures
- Provide guidance and support to project managers and stakeholders on contract-related matters
- Monitor and track contract performance including deliverables, milestones, and payments
- Identify and mitigate contract risks and propose solutions for resolution
- Prepare and maintain accurate and up-to-date contract files and documentation
- Support the management of the contract lifecycle from initiation to closeout, including modifications and extensions
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices in contract management
- Collaborate with legal counsel to resolve complex contract issues
- Ensure compliance with Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health Policies
- Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager
Experience & skills
- Bachelor in Engineering from an accredited university
- Minimum 10 years of experience in contracts management
- Experience with KSA procurement law
- Demonstrated experience in pricing, contract law, contract drafting, administration and negotiation of change orders
- Thorough knowledge of prime and sub-contract formation and administration
- Experience with execution office and field procedures and documentation for multi-discipline construction projects
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Arabic and English
