Job description
The Private Credit Manager at EIA is responsible for developing and managing a global portfolio of private credit fund and co-investments. The role emphasizes strategic alignment with the institutionās broader asset allocation, with a focus on North America, Western Europe, and Australasia. The position involves rigorous investment analysis, credit structuring, and active monitoring of investments, while maintaining strong relationships with fund managers and other market stakeholders. The role also includes contributing to cross-asset collaboration and mentoring junior staff, aligned with Emiratization and institutional growth objectives.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement private credit fund and co-investment strategies aligned with overall asset allocation
- Identify macro trends and sector-specific opportunities through in-depth research
- Source and execute fund and co-investment opportunities globally
- Conduct due diligence, build financial models, and analyze investment risk/return profiles
- Prepare and present detailed investment memoranda to investment committees
- Structure and negotiate investment terms in collaboration with legal and risk teams
- Monitor portfolio performance, risk exposure, and covenant compliance
- Develop workout strategies for challenged investments
- Build relationships with fund managers, sponsors, and institutional partners
- Stay informed on evolving regulatory frameworks affecting private credit
- Collaborate with internal teams across asset classes for integrated investment strategies
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to internal knowledge sharing
- Support Emiratization objectives and represent EIA in external forums
Experience & skills
- Bachelorās degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field; MBA or CFA preferred
- 7ā10 years of experience in private credit, private equity manager selection, or leveraged finance
- Demonstrated track record in fund investing or co-investments within institutional settings
- Strong expertise in financial analysis, due diligence, and credit structuring
- Advanced modeling and scenario testing abilities for complex credit investments
- In-depth understanding of direct lending, distressed debt, and structured products
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-performance environment with broad mandates
- Experience building diversified private credit portfolios aligned with risk/return goals
- Strong communication and presentation skills for investment committees and stakeholder reporting
