Job description
Egis is a global leader in architecture, consulting, construction engineering, and operations, employing over 22,000 professionals across 100 countries. The Director of Advisory – MESA Region is responsible for leading the Advisory service line in the Middle East and South Asia, overseeing a team of consultants and ensuring delivery of high-quality strategic advisory, consulting, and asset management services. The role carries full P&L responsibility, including order intake targets, project profitability, and budget oversight. The Director will develop and implement strategic directions for priority countries including KSA, UAE, and Qatar, expand offerings across urban, sports, and building sectors, consolidate academy activities, and ensure innovation and upskilling within the team. Responsibilities include strategy formulation, business development, organizational management, delivery oversight, human resources planning, financial monitoring, and marketing and communication initiatives to strengthen the Advisory service line’s visibility and influence in the region. The position requires interfacing with government officials, clients, and stakeholders at all levels, ensuring alignment with Egis values and promoting growth in key markets.

Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic directions for the Advisory service line in MESA, focusing on priority countries, sector expansion, and academy consolidation to drive regional growth.
- Oversee commercial action plans, applying Egis Group’s commercial processes, participating in bid reviews, client meetings, and ensuring business development objectives are achieved.
- Define and implement organizational structures for the service line, leading, motivating, and uniting the advisory team in line with Egis values and ensuring clear communication of directives.
- Oversee the development and implementation of action plans to improve production quality, client satisfaction, and team expertise, while promoting innovation and knowledge transfer.
- Identify resource needs, contribute to recruitment strategies, and implement initiatives to attract, engage, and retain top talent within the Advisory team.
- Prepare budgets, perform financial forecasting exercises in collaboration with controllers, monitor KPIs for the service line, and propose corrective actions to maintain profitability and operational efficiency.
- Contribute to marketing, communication, and publication initiatives to strengthen the Advisory service line’s image, influence, and market presence across the MESA region.
- Maintain strong stakeholder engagement and manage relationships with officials, clients, and partners at all levels, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and organizational goals.
Experience & skills
- Over 10 years of experience in advisory, consulting, or strategic management roles with demonstrated expertise in project execution and business growth.
- Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in a related field, with strong technical and commercial knowledge of advisory and consulting activities.
- Proven experience in P&L management, budgeting, and financial monitoring for service lines or large-scale consulting operations.
- Demonstrated ability in business development, with experience creating and implementing strategies for new business opportunities and client acquisition.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills, capable of interacting with government officials, clients, and partners at all levels.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate staff, develop talent, and foster an inclusive, high-performing team culture.
- Proficiency in strategic planning, organizational development, change management, and public relations to enhance service line performance and influence.
- Experience in MESA markets is advantageous but not required.
