Job description
The Junior Finance Executive at SmartCrowd will manage financial operations within the MENA region's first regulated real estate crowdfunding platform. Responsibilities include updating client digital wallets for deposits and withdrawals, coordinating with client relations, banks, and external payment service providers, processing payment requests across multiple property accounts and inter-group companies, and ensuring accurate cash position and reconciliations. The role involves preparing monthly property dividend statements for both short-term and long-term tenancy contracts, performing ad-hoc financial reporting, and maintaining accuracy and completeness of bank and property accounts. This position requires working closely with the finance team to achieve overall department objectives within a fast-paced, high-growth fintech environment, while ensuring compliance with UAE VAT and corporate tax regulations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, a quick learner, and capable of handling multiple priorities under pressure.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Update client digital wallets for deposits received and process withdrawal requests, reconciling accounts in real time
- Coordinate daily engagements with Client Relations, Banks, and External Payment Service Providers
- Process multiple payment requests from property accounts and inter-group companies, updating entries for accurate cash position
- Assist in preparing monthly property dividend statements for short-term and long-term tenancy contracts
- Prepare ad-hoc financial reports as required by management
- Perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts and property accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Collaborate with finance team members to achieve overall department objectives
Experience & skills
- Fresh finance graduate or 0–2 years of experience in UAE’s fintech industry
- Detail-oriented and self-starter with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax is an advantage
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify root causes and implement effective solutions
- Must be based in Dubai and available to join within 30 days
