Job description
Sanctions alerts that look high risk land with this Group Compliance & Governance analyst at Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB), who decides what they mean and what happens next. Customer profiles and transactions are investigated in depth, and confirmed matches are escalated with detailed reports for senior management and regulators. Business units come to you for guidance on sanctions requirements for transactions, products and new initiatives. OFAC, UN and UAE Central Bank rules keep changing, so updates are interpreted and turned into practical guidance across affected processes. Complex cases often need input from internal teams and external stakeholders, coordinated through you as subject matter expert. Periodic reviews keep advisory and investigation processes in line with internal standards and regulation. Process improvements and automation help cut operational risk and speed up case handling. Four years in compliance, sanctions advisory or financial crime investigations within banking or financial services is required, with a Bachelor's in Finance, Business, Law or a related field. ACAMS or equivalent certification is preferred, and the post is a 3-year fixed term contract with flexible working options.
