The General Engineering Technician (VAJ-SR) role within the Engineering function at a hospitality environment is responsible for maintenance planning and execution across hotel facilities to ensure full availability, serviceability, and operational efficiency of all hotel assets. The role supports preventative maintenance, repair work, reconstruction activities, and emergency recovery planning to minimize guest disruption and maintain service excellence in a 5-star hospitality environment. The position involves conducting operational engineering tasks in line with established service standards and procedures while maintaining preventive maintenance schedules for hotel infrastructure and systems including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC components. The role ensures timely identification and resolution of maintenance issues, supports preventative maintenance of hotel assets, and contributes to service recovery efforts where operational disruptions occur. The position requires collaboration with engineering team members and operational departments to maintain guest satisfaction and operational continuity. The role also includes supporting emergency maintenance activities, executing work orders, ensuring compliance with maintenance standards, and maintaining high-quality engineering services aligned with hospitality operational requirements.
