Job description
The FP&A Analyst (Financial Planning, Forecasting & Supply Chain Finance) role within a luxury retail and consumer goods organization focuses on supporting financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis across business operations. The position operates within the finance and treasury function, working closely with cross-functional teams to support budgeting cycles, financial modelling, and operational analysis. The role involves performing variance analysis, monitoring financial performance, and analyzing operational costs and unit economics to provide actionable insights that guide strategic and operational decision-making. The analyst supports monthly closing processes, including accruals and financial reconciliation, while preparing financial reports and presentations for internal stakeholders. The position requires exposure to supply chain finance and logistics finance, including areas such as 3PL, shipping, and distribution, with responsibilities to analyze operational and supply chain performance metrics. The role also involves identifying process gaps and recommending improvements to enhance financial and operational efficiency. The position requires strong data analysis, financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting capabilities, with the ability to translate financial data into meaningful business insights within a fast-paced, omnichannel retail environment.

Key responsibilities
- Support financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting cycles across the business by preparing and consolidating financial data to ensure accurate and timely planning processes.
- Build and maintain financial modelling frameworks to support strategic planning and operational decision-making, ensuring models reflect current business performance and future projections.
- Perform variance analysis on financial results by comparing actual performance against budgets and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations to improve financial outcomes.
- Monitor and analyze operational costs and unit economics to identify cost drivers, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improving profitability and operational performance.
- Support monthly closing activities including preparation of accruals and execution of financial reconciliation processes to ensure accuracy of financial statements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional business teams to identify process gaps, analyze operational challenges, and recommend process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency.
- Prepare detailed financial reports and presentations for internal stakeholders, translating complex financial data into clear and actionable insights.
- Analyze supply chain and logistics finance performance metrics, including 3PL, shipping, and distribution activities, to support operational efficiency and cost optimization.
Experience & skills
- Demonstrate 2–4 years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or operations finance within a structured business environment.
- Possess experience in consumer-driven industries such as retail, FMCG, or product-based businesses, supporting financial planning and operational analysis activities.
- Exhibit exposure to supply chain finance or logistics finance, including understanding of 3PL, shipping, and distribution processes.
- Show strong financial modelling and analytical skills, with the ability to build models and interpret financial data effectively.
- Demonstrate proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes to support financial planning activities.
- Possess ability to translate financial data into meaningful business insights and communicate findings effectively through reports and presentations.
- Exhibit capability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
