Job description
M42 is seeking a skilled Analyst, Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), to support its Abu Dhabi Biobank—a regional leader in biobanking and drug discovery. This role is critical to ensuring the seamless operation, maintenance, and integration of LIMS platforms within clinical and laboratory settings. The Analyst will work collaboratively across laboratory teams, IT departments, and external systems (like Malaffi, TRE, and LSP), ensuring regulatory compliance, system reliability, and continuous improvement. The role is ideal for a technical expert with a passion for healthcare innovation and a strong background in lab informatics.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Provide daily support for LIMS operations, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
- Collaborate with laboratory staff to update and maintain master data, workflows, and configurations.
- Implement updates, enhancements, and integrations of LIMS platforms with internal and external systems (e.g., Malaffi, TRE, LSP).
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, ITIL processes, and internal policies.
- Support audits, inspections, and data integrity processes across Biobank workflows.
- Train and guide users on LIMS functionality and best practices.
- Contribute to projects that enhance operational efficiency and system functionality.
Experience & skills
- At least 5 years in integration-focused roles within laboratory, biobank, or clinical environments.
- Strong expertise in LIMS platforms (e.g., Thermo Fisher LIMS).
- Hands-on experience with integration standards (HL7, FHIR, REST APIs).
- Knowledge of middleware tools for healthcare and laboratory data exchange.
- Understanding of regulatory frameworks (21 CFR Part 11, cGMP).
- Experience with Sample Manager LIMS system (Thermo Fisher).
