Job description
The Senior Associate – E-Channels Services Business Analysis at QNB in Doha is responsible for implementing, developing, documenting, testing, and supporting Digital Banking and eChannels applications. The role bridges business requirements and technical execution by translating user needs into coded applications using approved development tools and methodologies. The incumbent ensures alignment with QNB’s long-term strategy, regulatory standards, and information security requirements, including ISO 27001 compliance. The position involves systems analysis, software programming, bug fixing, documentation, workflow chart preparation, and application lifecycle management. Additionally, the role requires collaboration with business units, auditors, compliance, and risk teams, while maintaining service level agreements (SLAs) and delivering high-quality, secure, and efficient digital banking solutions. The position is part of the Qatarization initiative and supports QNB’s commitment to digital transformation and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities
- Analyze business and functional requirements provided by designated Business Analysts and translate them into technical specifications and application designs aligned with QNB’s digital banking strategy.
- Design, develop, document, and implement Digital Banking eChannels applications within approved budgets, timelines, and development standards.
- Perform coding, unit testing, debugging, and trial runs of programs to ensure functionality, accuracy, security, and performance meet user and regulatory expectations.
- Maintain and enhance existing applications by performing revisions, repairs, expansions, and efficiency improvements to adapt to new business and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare detailed workflow charts, diagrams, and technical documentation describing input/output flows, system logic, and operational processes to ensure maintainability and knowledge transfer.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including IT teams, business units, compliance, financial control, and risk management to ensure smooth delivery and regulatory adherence.
- Ensure compliance with Group policies, development lifecycle standards, information security requirements, and ISO 27001 standards for Data Centre Operations.
- Investigate system issues related to networks, workstations, CPUs, or peripheral devices and coordinate with system analysts and operators to resolve operational problems.
- Monitor and adhere to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to improve turnaround time and maintain service excellence for internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide timely and accurate data and technical support to auditors, compliance teams, and regulators when required.
- Implement KPIs and best practices within E-Channels Services Business Analysis to promote cost efficiency, productivity, and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to user manuals, training documentation, and user guidance materials to facilitate adoption and effective use of digital banking solutions.
- Support reconciliation and accounting-related processes within Treasury, Electronic Banking, Trade Finance, and other related business units.
- Proactively identify opportunities for system enhancements, automation, and optimization to improve digital banking performance and customer experience.
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Strong programming expertise in object-oriented languages and development tools used in Digital Banking and client/server environments.
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in software development, systems analysis, and Digital Banking or eChannels platforms within a banking environment.
- Experience working within Agile development frameworks and a solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Proven experience in application testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to identify system inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
- Knowledge of banking regulations, compliance requirements, and information security standards including ISO 27001.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a structured, high-performance banking environment.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, capable of liaising effectively with internal departments and business users.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency is highly preferred.
- Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Access) and familiarity with documentation and reporting standards.
- Understanding of accounting and reconciliation processes within banking domains such as Treasury, Electronic Banking, and Trade Finance.
