Job description
The Vice President of Investment (PM/FM, Fixed Income) is a senior leadership role at QNB, responsible for overseeing fixed income investment strategies and operations. The role includes managing portfolios, developing and overseeing fund strategies, analyzing market conditions, ensuring regulatory compliance, and leading a team of professionals. The position also entails engaging with institutional investors, ensuring optimal performance of fixed income funds, and representing QNB at key industry events. This role is pivotal to achieving the bank’s fixed income investment objectives and sustaining its reputation as a top financial institution in the region.

Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement QNB's fixed income investment strategies aligned with market conditions and organizational goals
- Provide strategic direction for fixed income portfolio and fund management teams
- Manage fixed income portfolios, including interest rate risk, credit analysis, and asset allocation
- Monitor and adjust portfolio performance to meet investment objectives
- Oversee the development and compliance of fixed income funds
- Foster and manage relationships with institutional investors
- Lead, mentor, and manage investment team members
- Oversee hiring, training, and performance evaluations
- Conduct in-depth market analysis including interest rates, credit risk, and economic trends
- Make informed investment decisions using quantitative and qualitative analysis
- Ensure timely and accurate portfolio reporting to management and stakeholders
- Maintain regulatory compliance and manage audits as necessary
- Represent QNB at industry events, conferences, and client meetings
Experience & skills
- 10–15 years of experience in fixed income investment management
- Proven track record managing fixed income portfolios and achieving targets
- In-depth understanding of fixed income markets, investment strategies, and regulations
- Leadership experience managing high-performing investment teams
- Advanced quantitative and analytical skills in risk and valuation models
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) Level 3 certification required
- Experience managing fixed income portfolios outside the MENA region
