Job description
Roughly half to two thirds of this Field Service Engineer role happens on the road, travelling across the Middle East and Africa region to support Electrophysiology customers on site. You'll manage the full service lifecycle for EP systems, covering new installations, preventative maintenance, emergency repairs and support for new product launches, all while keeping activities aligned with compliance guidelines. Customer service requests land with you first, so logging and managing cases from initiation through to resolution keeps support timely and effective. On-site work covers everything from installing new EP systems and planned maintenance to system upgrades and urgent repairs, carried out independently in the field. New product launches bring their own set of tasks, including managing installations, providing initial support and training customers so adoption goes smoothly. Spare parts logistics and administration also fall under this role, from preparing service quotes to processing orders, invoicing and managing shipping. Warranty periods and service contracts need monitoring too, with renewal follow ups keeping coverage continuous for customers. Close collaboration with the commercial franchise, distributors and other business partners across MEA keeps the customer experience consistent from end to end. A bachelor's degree in biomedical, electrical or electronic engineering is required, along with three or more years of related field service experience and, ideally, hands-on exposure to EP systems such as 3D cardiac mapping systems and RF generators.
