Job description
This role supports OKX’s compliance operations by conducting detailed KYB reviews on incoming institutional and business customers. The Specialist validates AML documents, performs CDD and EDD checks, investigates sanctions/PEP/adverse media alerts, and ensures adherence to AML policies, regulatory requirements, and internal risk frameworks. The position involves managing onboarding cases, communicating with customers to obtain required documentation, maintaining high service levels, and assisting in improving the CDD function. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience within AML/KYC environments are essential.

Key responsibilities
- Review KYB onboarding cases to ensure compliance with AML policies and risk assessment requirements
- Verify KYB documents using validation tools and reputable data sources
- Request and review CDD/EDD documentation to complete onboarding in line with procedures
- Follow up on pending customer documentation within required SLAs
- Investigate and resolve sanctions, PEP, and adverse media alerts
- Escalate AML/CDD issues to management as needed
- Maintain high service quality when dealing with customers and internal teams
- Support enhancement of the CDD/KYB operational framework
- Participate in compliance-related projects when required
Experience & skills
- Higher Diploma or Degree
- Minimum 2 years of experience in AML, CDD/EDD, or KYB roles
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Ability to work collaboratively within a compliance function
- Experience with AML screening tools and onboarding platforms (preferred)
