Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons in Business Studies and Economics, aligned with the British National Curriculum (GCSE/IGCSE standards)
- Design lesson plans, assessments, and enrichment activities that cater to a diverse student population
- Utilize modern technology and digital platforms to enhance instruction and student collaboration
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents
- Promote critical thinking, real-world application, and inquiry-based learning
- Support the implementation of school initiatives, policies, and strategic goals
- Engage in continuous professional development, mentoring, and training sessions
- Actively participate in the schoolâs extracurricular and co-curricular activities (e.g. business clubs, entrepreneurship events)
- Collaborate with faculty members on interdisciplinary projects and school-wide events
- Uphold high standards of teaching ethics, professionalism, and safeguarding practices
Experience & skills
- Bachelorâs degree in Business, Economics, or a related subject
- PGCE, PGDE, or equivalent recognized teaching qualification
- Minimum 2 years of classroom experience teaching Business Studies / Economics to secondary students
- Familiarity with British Curriculum and assessment methods (GCSE, IGCSE, BTEC preferred)
- Excellent classroom management and behavior management skills
- Demonstrated ability to differentiate instruction for mixed-ability classes
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with students, colleagues, and parents
- Proficiency with educational technologies and virtual teaching tools

- Enhanced DBS or equivalent police clearance required prior to employment
