The role includes actively sourcing new-to-bank customers, generating business leads, and managing customer relationships through effective onboarding, profiling, and regular engagement. The Relationship Manager ensures the quality and soundness of the assigned SE portfolio by conducting KYC reviews, due diligence, anti-money laundering procedures, periodic credit facility reviews, and monitoring account conduct. The position involves cross-selling, up-selling, and deep-selling the full range of bank products to enhance revenue and upgrade SE customers to Mid Enterprise (ME) status. Responsibilities include maintaining portfolio controls, documentation, client visit reports, stock inspections, formal credit checks, and informal market feedback. The role liaises with internal teams such as Risk Management and other enabler units to achieve business objectives while adhering to regulatory and compliance requirements. Additionally, the position requires mentoring and developing SSOs for career growth, providing regular updates to branch and regional managers, and ensuring all customer interactions and credit decisions are aligned with the bank’s policies, credit guidelines, and risk management frameworks. This role demands excellent communication, negotiation skills, advanced knowledge of banking products, credit, trade, legal, and operating systems, and the ability to deliver superior customer service while meeting financial and non-financial targets.
