Job description
The Product Operations Manager – Corporate Information Systems role at ByteDance sits within the Product organization supporting the Information Systems team, which owns and operates internal enterprise platforms across procurement, contract management, workplace services, human resources, finance, legal, and other corporate functions. The role is responsible for building and scaling product operations capabilities across the full product lifecycle, including strategic planning, solution design, implementation, configuration, security, and continuous optimization. Acting as a bridge between Product Management, Engineering, and internal business users, the role focuses on transforming user feedback into actionable insights, building structured Voice of Customer programs, developing product analytics and dashboards to track usage, adoption, and operational efficiency, and designing scalable operating models that improve execution, governance, and decision making. The position also drives operational excellence through standardized processes, documentation, training, adoption programs, and automation initiatives to reduce friction and improve efficiency across ByteDance’s global internal systems ecosystem.

Key responsibilities
- Establish and scale product operations frameworks to improve clarity, execution, and decision making across Product, Engineering, and internal business teams
- Build structured Voice of Customer mechanisms to collect, synthesize, and operationalize user feedback and ensure insights directly influence product priorities
- Develop product analytics, instrumentation, dashboards, and reporting to analyze usage patterns, user behavior, operational efficiency, and adoption trends
- Drive alignment across cross-functional teams by coordinating workflows, managing dependencies, and orchestrating execution
- Create and maintain standardized operating models, documentation, and standard operating procedures to enable predictable delivery and reduce operational friction
- Lead enablement initiatives including training programs, communications, and adoption efforts to ensure users fully leverage product capabilities
- Partner with internal stakeholders to understand needs, resolve issues, and provide high-value operational support across the end-to-end product experience
- Communicate product updates, operational insights, and execution status clearly and consistently to leadership and partner teams
- Champion automation, tooling, and scalable processes, including the application of AI, to reduce manual effort and enhance organizational efficiency
Experience & skills
- Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in product operations, product management, business operations, or program management within a fast-paced technology environment
- Demonstrate strong product intuition and business acumen with the ability to interpret product strategies, risks, and expected outcomes
- Show a proven track record of implementing scalable operational frameworks, feedback systems, or analytics programs
- Exhibit experience influencing stakeholders without direct authority and driving alignment across senior cross-functional partners
- Apply strong analytical capabilities with hands-on experience using product usage data, dashboards, and KPI frameworks to inform decisions
- Demonstrate familiarity with enterprise internal systems or B2B platforms such as procurement, contract lifecycle management, workplace services, ERP, or HRIS
- Show experience building Voice of Customer or product analytics programs from initial design through execution
- Demonstrate experience applying automation or AI technologies to operational workflows
