Job description
Connecting modern digital products to ERP, HR, finance and collaboration platforms is rarely simple, and this Abu Dhabi contract is about building those connections properly. The work is genuine engineering rather than ETL or middleware administration, covering production-grade APIs, event flows, messaging patterns and integration services. REST, OData, SOAP and enterprise APIs are built and consumed, and asynchronous integrations use messaging and event-driven designs for long-running workflows. API contracts, integration standards and canonical schemas are defined with application and platform engineering teams. Resilience is built in through retries, timeouts, idempotency, reconciliation and dead-letter processing, so partial failures do not cascade. Security covers OAuth2, service identities and certificates, alongside API versioning, gateway standards and careful handling of sensitive data. Logging, monitoring and alerting keep integrations observable, and complex production issues across systems need hands-on troubleshooting. Testing, UAT and production rollout also need your support. Six or more years in enterprise integration or backend engineering with Java, C#, Python or Go is required, and SAP, Azure Integration Services or Kafka experience will stand out on this 12-month, in-office contract.
