Job description
The Associate Director - Marine Infrastructure will lead the coastal modeling team at RSG, delivering advanced numerical simulations and managing coastal engineering efforts. The role involves strategic oversight, technical innovation, quality assurance, stakeholder coordination, and leadership development to ensure marine infrastructure projects align with RSGās regenerative tourism goals. This is a senior leadership opportunity to influence coastal resilience and sustainability through state-of-the-art modeling, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key responsibilities
- Implement the strategic agenda of marine and coastal modeling within the Marine Infrastructure Team
- Execute business plans to meet Marine Infrastructure objectives
- Guide a high-performing modeling team and foster professional growth
- Oversee project delivery aligned with RSG quality and environmental standards
- Lead integrated coastal design studies and consultant performance reviews
- Participate in planning and execution of numerical modeling projects
- Coordinate with stakeholders and ensure multidisciplinary integration
- Champion innovation through modeling software and simulation tools
- Prepare marine studies and coastal infrastructure designs
- Mentor team members and manage performance reviews
- Evaluate and select qualified service providers and consultants
- Review documentation to ensure compliance with RSG standards
- Implement value engineering and scope management techniques
- Ensure coordination with other disciplines during design phases
- Report project progress to senior leadership
- Uphold international codes and environmental conservation standards
Experience & skills
- Ph.D. or M.S. in Civil, Coastal, Ocean Engineering, or Oceanography
- 15 to 20 years of marine/coastal engineering experience, 12 years in management
- Professional Engineer registration or ability to obtain
- Proven experience in coastal modeling, hydrodynamics, sediment transport
- Proficiency in DHI, Delft3D, SWAN, XBEACH, MATLAB, Python
- Experience with physical model testing and CFD tools
- Knowledge of mooring analysis tools (MIKE 21 MA, Optimoor) preferred
- Track record in multi-disciplinary project management
- Strong stakeholder engagement and analytical skills
- Ability to mentor teams and drive high technical performance
