Job description
ADCB's Retail Banking Group serves retail and micro-business customers with conventional and Shari'ah compliant products, and the Business Banking portfolios within it need a control framework that keeps pace with growth. This Abu Dhabi position owns that framework, making sure operational, regulatory, conduct, financial crime and portfolio risks stay within the Bank's approved risk appetite. First-line risk governance is the daily focus, covering portfolios, products, channels and processes. Control testing programmes, thematic reviews and control assessments show where preventive, detective and corrective controls are falling short. Risk and Control Self-Assessment, risk inventories and Key Risk Indicators also come under your oversight, and challenging risk ratings is part of the job. When audit observations, regulatory findings, operational risk events or financial crime issues arise, remediation is tracked to closure and reported through governance channels. Management relies on your reporting of portfolio quality, emerging risks, concentration exposures and policy exceptions to make sound decisions. Budget preparation and monitoring for the business area sit here as well. At least 7 years across Business Banking, risk management, operational risk, audit or compliance in financial services is needed.
