Job description
Wipro is seeking a Principal Consultant with deep consulting expertise and the ability to manage the delivery of impactful digital transformation solutions. This role requires strong business acumen, experience in leading teams, delivering advisory engagements, and developing client relationships. The Principal Consultant plays a pivotal role in consulting delivery, sales enablement, thought leadership, and internal practice contribution, with a strong focus on client value creation and revenue growth.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Manage teams of consultants or workstreams and assure quality of deliverables
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior clients and deliver strategic outcomes
- Coach and motivate teams while resolving project and delivery issues
- Lead proposal development and RFP/RFI responses with sales teams
- Identify and convert consulting leads into opportunities
- Develop and deliver high-impact presentations and strategic insights
- Ensure compliance with Wipro's internal operations, tagging, SoW, and admin protocols
- Support achievement of consulting revenue and utilization targets
- Drive opportunity identification and support deal pursuit and sales funnel growth
- Contribute to thought leadership through white papers, frameworks, and sessions
- Propose new service offerings and IP creation aligned with market trends
- Mentor junior consultants and support talent retention
- Collaborate across consulting and delivery teams for integrated solutions
- Lead client engagements in business change and transformation domains
- Generate impact through pull-through business and integrated deals
- Develop and implement practice assets for market positioning and eminence
- Contribute to strategic goals by aligning consulting services with account teams
- Monitor performance and provide timely feedback and coaching to team members
- Demonstrate continuous improvement through innovation and process enhancement
- Represent Wipro values and tenets in all client and team interactions
Experience & skills
- 8ā10 years of experience in consulting, with a strong focus on business change and digital transformation
- Demonstrated experience in client-facing consulting project management
- Track record of managing teams and leading engagements across industries
- Mandatory skill in Business Change Consulting (OCM)
- Ability to drive business development and contribute to sales cycles
- Experience leading RFP/RFI efforts and proposal creation
- Strong strategic and analytical thinking with leadership presence
- Knowledge of consulting tools, IP development, and practice management
- Demonstrated contributions to thought leadership and content development
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills
