Job description
The Manager – Sustainability Risk Consulting role at EY Sustainability in MENA is a senior consulting position responsible for leading the design and delivery of sustainability and climate-focused transformation programs across sectors including energy, infrastructure, finance, and government. Based in Riyadh, the role focuses on embedding sustainability into core strategy, investment decision-making, and enterprise risk frameworks. The position involves developing detailed financial and sustainability business cases, designing and managing sustainability-aligned project and program portfolios, supporting investment prioritization through quantitative and qualitative analysis, and applying scenario modelling to assess climate and sustainability-related risks and long-term value impacts. The role also oversees digital and data enablement initiatives such as sustainability data architectures and dashboards, evaluates emerging technologies and AI-driven solutions for sustainability use cases, and supports the redesign of governance and operating models to integrate sustainability into organizational risk and investment processes.

Key responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of sustainability programs that support long-term value creation and portfolio optimization
- Develop detailed financial and sustainability business cases for interventions including decarbonization, climate resilience, digital enablement, natural capital, circular economy, supply chain sustainability, and technology adoption
- Design and manage sustainability-focused project and program portfolios aligned with strategic objectives and ROI targets
- Apply quantitative and qualitative analysis to support investment decision-making and prioritization of sustainability initiatives
- Conduct scenario modelling and climate risk assessments to evaluate cost-benefit trade-offs and long-term value impacts
- Oversee the implementation of sustainability data architectures, analytics platforms, and performance dashboards
- Evaluate emerging technologies and AI-driven sustainability solutions and advise on deployment strategies
- Redesign governance, operating, and delivery models to embed sustainability into enterprise risk and investment frameworks
- Manage complex consulting projects and multidisciplinary teams across sustainability and risk engagements
- Contribute to market activities and delivery of market-leading sustainability consulting projects in the region
Experience & skills
- Hold a degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Sustainability, or a related field
- Demonstrate 6–10+ years of experience in consulting, investment analysis, or sustainability strategy
- Exhibit a proven track record in sustainability-related business case development and portfolio management
- Demonstrate expertise in financial modelling, cost-benefit analysis, and portfolio optimization
- Exhibit familiarity with sustainability frameworks, ESG standards, and regulatory requirements
- Demonstrate strong analytical and quantitative capabilities with exposure to data visualization and AI-driven decision tools
