Job description
This role is for a seasoned HSE Advisor responsible for delivering comprehensive health, safety, and environmental support across large-scale gas processing projects. The candidate will advise on HSE-related legislative compliance, company policy adherence, and client standards, while leading change initiatives that affect systems, roles, and organizational processes. The HSE Advisor will work cross-functionally to implement audits, training programs, safety culture initiatives, and change management protocols.

Key responsibilities
- Provide timely advice and guidance on all HSE matters in compliance with legislation, company policy, and client requirements
- Support a team of advisors on delivery of Wood EPCM projects
- Ensure visibility and integration of HSE function across teams
- Contribute to HSE Assurance Plans and recommend improvements
- Prepare Safety & Environmental Plans, Risk Assessments, and Method Statements
- Develop and maintain HSE policies and procedures specific to the business unit
- Prepare safety and environmental reports
- Conduct audits and inspections per the Integrated Management System
- Deliver training courses and toolbox talks
- Conduct loss event investigations and prepare reports
- Liaise regularly with HSE stewards for workforce consultation and participation
- Drive behavioral culture change programs
- Manage relationships with client HSE teams
- Facilitate workshops and document business processes and change impacts
- Support achievement of occupational health and safety goals
- Collaborate across departments to share knowledge and promote consistency
Experience & skills
- Bachelorās degree in engineering or related field
- 8+ years of HSE experience
- Solid understanding of organizational change
- Excellent listening and written communication skills
- Ability to articulate messages to diverse audiences
- Experience engaging senior leadership
- Workshop facilitation and business process documentation
- Team player with collaborative mindset
- Experience with challenging stakeholders and high-pressure environments
