Job description
The Scrum Master Expert role in Riyadh focuses on guiding Agile software and data product development teams within industries such as capital markets, finance, or banking. This position requires leading multiple Scrum teams by ensuring adherence to Agile principles and frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe), facilitating key ceremonies, and removing impediments to maintain velocity. The role involves collaboration with product owners, developers, QA, and stakeholders to manage and prioritize the product backlog, as well as coaching teams and promoting Agile best practices. The Scrum Master Expert will also track performance metrics, provide improvement recommendations, and drive a culture of transparency, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the organization.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Guide Agile teams in using Scrum frameworks, practices, and principles
- Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews
- Collaborate with product owners, developers, QA, and stakeholders to manage the product backlog
- Identify and remove roadblocks affecting productivity and team velocity
- Track Agile metrics and recommend improvements
- Coach team members and stakeholders on Agile best practices
- Support multiple Scrum teams and ensure consistent Agile delivery
- Promote transparency, collaboration, and continuous improvement within teams
- Prepare timely department reports and ensure compliance with company standards
- Promote adherence to organizational policies, procedures, and processes
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computing Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Business, Engineering, Statistics, or related field
- Master’s degree (optional) in Data Science, Business Analytics, or MBA with data focus
- 6+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in software or data product development, preferably in capital markets, finance, or banking
- Strong knowledge of Agile principles, Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe frameworks
- Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent) preferred
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar project management tools
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and apply servant leadership
- Fluency in English (spoken and written)
- Knowledge of software development life cycle and Agile delivery in SaaS or technology companies is a plus
